Reminder that - Parche admitted he plan it, yet never served a day in jail - the match still counts as an official LOSS in Seles’ statistics - tournament went on like nothing happened - Graf had been harassed for years by Parche and didn’t take any action - Seles lost her endorsements and ranking
What a train wreck this match was… worst loss of Graf’s career. She looked completely clueless in this match.
What can I wish for a star? As you leave the clay court for better that's all I wish for sons specially the one who live as where or as you belong. Wishing that they will live a respectable Man or Men for that's all their father did since the banana Republic days. Sacrifices and obeying the command of our superiors that in moment in time turn into a nightmare an imaginable things that can be happen out of our control but not for those we respect superiors of our time. It's fun to be a father when even our sons or kids feel the fun too and being respected for their good work, kindness that obey the law and the commandments as we obey the Golden Rule. Sad to say that new York cannot be my home for I never know I belong there as a one of the root that new york continue the business because we really (exist) live in place where hard times is for us and good times for strangers somebody else. By the way, I am a tennis player too that you can only count one in New York and that's me though I am not a novice anymore, and yoh..... Pac I fic Star..... For you and for your new partner which happen to be my brother, both of them. Pardon me if I am wrong... coz I really don't understand what's Goin on and why we are being swept away in new York by the New Yorkers? Thank you very much, Friend and Neigh bor
Da bekomme ich immer noch Gänsehaut 🔥
Terrible what happened . However tennis wise you could see what a hard hitter if she stood toe to toe with Seles would actually beat her , even here. Maleeva was not quite Capriati or Graf but i do NOT believe Seles would not have defended her FO title this year unless she got quicker around the court , however her reflexes were incredible but i just found Seles did hit a lot balls mid court back then and players i think were too scared too attack hence why a MUCH older Navratilova could still beat her and especially Graf who were not scared just unleashed. Graf and even Sabatini physically were much stronger than Seles but Sabatini hit with so much spin it slowed down the shots and dropped way to short. Martinez was guilty of this but she had a lot more power but still was not that great

Amanda knew to set well the match against Graf tactically. She reached to break her game and to get nervous her. But this time Steffi was decofused: too much forced errors. However very good Coetzer.
She was 19. 19. her career ended before it really began.
Her career didn't exactly "end". She took two years off before returning and was immediately competitive.
@@JohnSmith-oe5kx she was not as competitive as before not even close
@@noalias Let's see: Seles returned at the end of 1995. Her first tournament was the Canadian Open, which she won in five matches in which she lost a total of 14 games, the fewest ever. Victims included Huber, Tauziat and Sabatini. Her second tournament was the US Open. She cruised through the first three rounds (6-3 6-1, 6-2 6-1, 6-1 6-1), then beat Huber (6-1 6-4), Novotna in the quarters (7-6 6-2) and Martinez in the semis (6-2 6-2). She lost 26 games in the six games leading up to the final, then pushed Graf to three sets (7-6 0-6 6-3). Not competitive? Seles began 1996 by winning the Australian Open, and finished the year by losing the US Open final to Graf again. However, her eating problem was getting out of control.
@@JohnSmith-oe5kxyeah she was still great sure. But before the attack she was not only great she was on her way to GOAT. BEFORE she was dominating Tennis, AFTER she was a good top ten player
@@noalias She was on her way to a great rivalry with Graf, sure. Then she had mental issues that got the best of her.
I always felt a little sorry for Anke Huber. She was a great tennis player, but whenever people think of great women tennis players from Germany, usually the only name that comes to mind is Steffi's.
This umpire should be fired right away
dont players have honesty ? the one player was willing to take the game, even though she knew she hadnt won it
I watched a ladies match at the -99 US open. Capriati was one of the players and got upset with the umpire, who was female. "Are you here?" Capriati shouted.
umpire, chair umpire, commentators, supervisors, players everyone sleeping with eyes open. only radwanska's coach attentive. such a sad state lol.
the umpire and officials are here to get a pay check
good video. both girls are very pretty. ❤❤❤❤❤❤😘😘
and great bodys to match women tennis players turn me on.

She is and still is a wonderful person and I will remember her win at the 1993 Canadian Open against Jennifer Capritai
Amanda is NOT known for winning a major. She's not known for being No. 1 or No. 2. She's not known for winning a premiere WTA tournament (i.e., Indian Wells). She's not known for having a great shot or a stylish game. ... She's best known for beating Steffi when Steffi was injured. If not for Steffi, Amanda is not worth remembering.
She was a good player in her own right and many people remember her beyond the Graf beatdowns she delivered in '97. Coetzer could beat anyone on any given day, but couldn't be counted on to string together 7 matches in a row to win a slam. Most tennis players would dream to have her career, even though she didn't achieve what the likes of Graf did. Also, you don't need to diminish one player to prop another up.
@@deedledave9826 Amanda was a boring, insignificant player. I don't need to say that to prop Steffi up. Steffi needs no propping up. A player who won 7 Wimbledon, 6 French titles, and a Calendar Slam doesn't need any help from me.
@@LDVTennis So why comment on it? I think Coetzer had a fine career in the grand scheme of things. She won a few titles, was routinely seeded at tourneys, and made deep runs at a few slams. The majority of tennis players would kill for her career, even though the general tennis fan would have no idea who she is. I think she deserves a bit of credit and acknowledgment.
The announcers are too busy talking to pay attention
I was there at Stadium.
Incredibly well played from Angie....and how gracious Serena was in defeat....respect...
Graf should win this Match 6:4 5:2 and had a Matchpoint.
Must be so sad for her.😢 She was playing so well.
Grace, class, professional to the core, great human being, love staffing. God bless you
Arantxa dominaba el head to head de manera aplastante.
Onkel Franz mit Sekt 😂
ive been looking for this❤thank you
I have to say, apart from Eva Azederaki who is amazing, all these women umpires are rubbish. Some of their mistakes are unbelievable!
This was most unfortunate to happen to Monica. She was the best player at that time and would have been the best player of all-time had this not happened.
Seles was the best while Graf was in her slump, and it is far from certain that Seles would have been the best all time, but she missed out on some more wins.
Exciting and entertaining match before that nightmare. Maggie could have broken back . . .
Barthel knew all along that it was wrong
So sad what happened to her. :(
its amazing to watch badminton and tennis where umpires make blunders which can easily be corrected by replays which are readily available but still they stick to their archaic methods
The Australian gift was the least thoughtful- did they buy that at duty free on the way to the US?
It would be a help if the commentators weren't basically ignoring the match and waffling on about other stuff.
She is most private person. She doesn’t bring attention to herself other than for her tennis. Not like all those others large egos with small brains walking around the tennis courts.
The Queen....The Greatest....The Legend!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
How could she apologize as she is a woman, and by the look of her she might have been distracted.
